In this video, the author explains what NavTex is and how to decode it with SDR and a software decoder. NAVTEX (NAVigational TEleX), sometimes known as Navtex or NavTex, is an international automated medium frequency direct-printing service used to send navigational and meteorological alerts and forecasts, as well as critical maritime safety information (MSI), to ships. NAVTEX was created to give a low-cost, easy, and automated way for ships at sea to get this information within 370 km (200 nautical miles) of land.
