Description
Fibreglass antenna, SB 3M from Sirio, for the VHF Marine band 156-160Mhz and boat installation. This marine VHF antenna measures approx. 1.5 meter and is supplied with a 5-meter coaxial cable with PL-259 connector (UHF male) and the boat mounting bracket. It is designed to operate without a ground plane and has ESD protection. The marine antenna bracket is made of stainless steel, the antenna whip is made of high-quality brass and copper and protected by a fibreglass tube.
3/4 λ marine antenna working on 156-163 MHz without Ground Plane. It is particularly protected against the worst sea weather thanks to its conic glass fibre tube which makes it strong and solid in every situation. The radial whip is earthed in order to avoid stray R.F. currents and their discharges. All its metallic components are of chromium-plated brass and stainless steel to get robustness and full assurance; it is available in three different bases. It is provided with a 5 m white cable RG 58 already connected. In the mentioned range of frequencies, adjustments are not required.
